We cannot expect our  coming generations to pay rampant medical costs for 1/4 of the population, federal debt, out of control federal government budget, the military, social security, high tuition costs, high housing costs, high food costs, high energy costs, etc. and  have a growing GDP. There must be compromise. I believe this compromise begins with making Medicare entitlements needbased, deregulating the Health Insurance industry, tort reform, and allowing market forces to do the rest.
